This Week’s Experience – 7/30/2023

Message

The sun stayed in the middle of the sky, and it did not set as on a normal day. There has never been a day like this one before or since, when the LORD answered such a prayer. Surely the LORD fought for Israel that day!

-Joshua 10:13-14

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.

God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Very early the next morning before daylight, Jesus got up and went to a place where he could be alone and pray.

-Mark 1:35

It is useless to get up early and stay up late in order to earn a living. God takes care of his own, even while they sleep.

-Psalm 127:2

Go to bed without fear; lie down and sleep soundly.

-Proverbs 3:24

Discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness. “Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”

-1 Timothy 4:7-8
