Many people have set out to write accounts about the events that have been fulfilled among us. They used the eyewitness reports circulating among us from the early disciples. Therefore, having investigated

everything from the beginning, I also have decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus.

-Luke 1:1-3

Luke being in the bible isn’t what makes it and .  It’s because it was already considered and that it made it into the bible.

I write this to you so you may know the truth about all the things you are being taught.

-Luke 1:4

If Jesus wasn’t raised from the dead, our message is worthless, and so is your faith.

-1 Corinthians 15:14

1. Were you taught the song “The b-i-b-l-e” as a kid? How about “Jesus Loves Me”?  If so, how do those songs influence what we believe about the bible that might actually be more harmful than good?

2. Have you every struggled with thinking, “I’m just supposed to believe with a blind faith”?

3. In what ways did today’s message challenge your thinking? Are you starting to see that perhaps the story of Jesus might be based on facts that can be investigated?

4. If indeed, Jesus’ resurrection can be proven to be historically true and the Gospel writers accounts of it reliable, how will that impact your faith?

5. What is the next step God is asking you to take as a result of this message?
