Message notes

Jesus looked up to heaven and prayed, “Father, the time has come for you to bring glory to your Son so that I in turn may bring glory to you. You have given me authority over all people, so that I can give eternal life to those you have given me. And this is eternal life; to know you, the One True God and to know me, Jesus the Christ, whom you’ve have sent to the earth.

-John 17:1-3

1. Jesus came so I might have .

2. I must define eternal life the way Jesus did…Eternal life is !

And this is eternal life; to know you, the One True God and to know me, Jesus the Christ, whom you’ve have sent to the earth.

-John 17:3

3. keeps me from eternal life with Jesus, but He died and rose again to that.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever BELIEVES in him shall not perish but have ETERNAL LIFE.

-John 3:16

1. Who is someone you “know” a lot about but yet you don’t actually know them?

2. Re-read John 17:1-3. What jumps out most to you in this passage? Why?

3. What’s the difference between knowing about Jesus and actually knowing Jesus? Practically what should knowing Jesus look like in the life of one of His followers?

4. What is your next step as a result of this message?
