This Week’s Experience – 9/12/2021 Message notes Leave this field blankWatch out and guard yourselves from every kind of greed; because your true life is not made up of the things you own, no matter how rich you may be.-Luke 12:15But God said to him, "You fool! Tonight, you will die. Then who will get what you have stored up?" This is what happens to people who store up everything for themselves but are poor in the sight of God.-Luke 12:20-211. The good news is !It is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God.-Ecclesiastes 5:192. The bad news is !Jesus then said to his disciples, "I assure you: it will be very hard for rich people to enter the Kingdom of heaven. In fact, it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to get into God's kingdom."-Matthew 19:23-24When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.-Luke 12:48Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others.-1 Timothy 6:17Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Instead store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.-Matthew 6:19-21LIFE APPLICATIONTo discuss during the week with your family or Life Group1.
