Series Big Thought:
My direction, not my intentions, determine my destination.

The Principle of Focus:

What my , determines my direction, which determines my destination.

Look straight ahead and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet, and you will stay on solid ground. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

-Proverbs 4:25-27

The Principle of Choice:

I get to what I give my to.

My fuel what captures and grabs my attention while fuels what I pay and give attention to.

I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. All of us who are mature should think in this same way.

-Philippians 3:13-15

We must give our full attention to the truth we have been told, so we won't drift away.

-Hebrews 2:1

Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of your faith.

-Hebrews 12:2

Jesus was God but He did not consider equality with God to be something to be used to His advantage. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

-Philippians 2:6-11

I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

-John 14:6

Choose this day whom you will serve.

-Joshua 24:15
