That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them and He said, “Peace be with you!”

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

After Jesus said this, He showed them the nail prints in His hands and the wounds in His side. When the disciples saw Him, they were filled with great joy. Again, Jesus said to them, “Peace be with you”.
