Message notes

Philip said to Jesus, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough to satisfy us”. Jesus replied: Philip, I have been with you for a long time. Don't you know who I am? If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. How can you ask me to show you the Father?

-John 14:8-9

No one has ever seen God except for the one and only Son, who is Himself God and is near to the Father’s heart.  He has revealed to us who God is.

-John 1:18

reveals to me who is, what He thinks about me and what He wants me to be and do in life.

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

-1 Samuel 16:7

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… the Word became human and made his home among us.

-John 1:1, 14

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

-1 John 4:7-8
