Message notes

Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us.”

 -Genesis 1:26

1.  The Greek word means to have a deep intimacy with someone else.

Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”

- Genesis 2:18

Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame.

-Genesis 2:25

Jesus went up on a mountain and called to him those he wanted, and they came to be with him.

-Mark 3:13

They devoted themselves to fellowship.

-Acts 2:42

Every day, they continued to meet together…They broke bread in their homes and ate with glad and sincere hearts.

 -Acts 2:46

The “ ” plan where people meet in one another’s homes was Jesus plan from the beginning and that plan has not changed.

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

-Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
