This Week’s Experience – 4/12/2020

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

 -John 11:25-26

A man named Lazarus was sick. He lived in Bethany with his sisters, Mary and Martha…. So the two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him, “Lord, your dear friend is very sick.” But when Jesus heard about it he said, “The purpose of his illness is not death, but for the glory of God. I, the Son of God, will receive glory from this situation.”

-John 11:1, 3-4

Then Thomas who was nicknamed, “The Twin”, said to his fellow disciples, “Come on. We might as well go die with Him as well.”

-John 11:16

When Martha heard that Jesus had arrived, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed in the house.

-John 11:20

Martha said to Jesus, “Lord if you had just gotten here earlier, I know that my brother would not have died.”

-John 11:21

“But even still I know that God will do anything you ask.” Jesus told her, “Your brother will live again!”  Martha answered, “I know that he will be resurrected at the end of time, when all the dead are raised.” Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Then Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!”

-John 11:43

On the way they were discussing how they could ever roll away the huge stone from the entrance.

2.     What “Even Still” miracle do you need in your life right now?

3.     How has Jesus resurrection changed your life?  Do you have a personal relationship with Him?  If yes, how did it start?  If you don’t have one, what is holding you back?

4.     What is your next step as a result of this message?
