Message notes

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Shocking Stats:

1. The average American spends percent of their salary each year.

2. The average American has credit card debt of $ per adult.

3. The average 21 year old is in debt $ and that number will grow to $ by the time they are 28.

4.  percent of U.S. households live paycheck-to-paycheck.

Money Temptations:

1. I will always be tempted to money.

You cannot be the slave of two masters! You will like  one more than the other or be more loyal to one than the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

-Matthew 6:24

The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people want money so much that they have given up their faith and caused themselves a lot of pain.

-1 Timothy 6:10

Those who love money will never have enough. Those who love wealth will never be satisfied with their income.

 -Ecclesiastes 5:10

None of us have a money problem, we instead have a spending problem.

Godly Perspectives on Money:

1.  I don't serve money, I serve God.
2.  As I serve God, money serves me.
3.  Money allows me to advance God's Kingdom.

Pay your debts as they come due. However, one debt you can never finish paying is the debt of love that you owe each other.
