Message notes

I write this letter to you who believe in the Son of God so you will know you have eternal life.

-1 John 5:13

2 Ways God Sees Me: 1. I am His beloved .

I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come back to you.

-John 14:18

2. I am His betrothed .

Jesus said to his disciples, “Don’t be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me.  There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I wouldn’t tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you. After I have done this, I will come back and take you with me. Then we will be together.

-John 14:1-3

We love because God first loved us.

2 Ways I Can Know For Sure I Have Eternal Life: 1. I have placed all of my hopes for heaven on  and Salvation isn’t so much about the that I but rather the that I’m in.

2. I have a new .

No one who has become part of God’s family makes a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them.

-1 John 5:18

If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth.

 -1 John 2:4

If you see a fellow believer sinning in a way that does not lead to death, you should pray, and God will give that person life. But there is a sin that leads to death, and I am not saying you should pray for those who commit it. All wicked actions are sin, but not every sin leads to death.

-1 John 5:16-17
